I’m a Luxury Item!

You may be wondering “Why do I need to spend money on a celebrant? I can go to the registry office and spend between $400-$600 depending on the day, and get married.”

What you’re getting for that relatively small amount of money, is an experience including a stiff legal ceremony, devoid of anything about you, your guests or your story. You’re in and out. You’re married. Done!

There are also businesses who peddle (and that’s a conscious use of the word) budget ceremonies, but basically you’re getting a registry style wedding by the water, and you and your partner are on a conveyor belt of wedding ceremonies that they’re banging out throughout that day. No care or consideration is taken. 

I had an experience recently where I saved a couple from this fate. Someone who I adore told me that she hated her celebrant, and that she wished they had me. She told me that the celebrant didn’t care, and wouldn’t even learn how to say her French fiancé’s surname. True story. Appalling. Stuff that!

But your wedding ceremony is the most important part of the day. 

“No it’s not”, I hear your day, it’s the party! 

Well if that’s the case, don’t get married, have a “do” and get smashed and don’t bother with the ceremony. 

Look to a good celebrant as your story teller, and the person who guides you through the process and holds your day in the palm of their hand. I’m a luxury item you deserve, in that I’m here to answer any questions you have, can refer you to vendors, give you advice about your venue, assist you with your vows and make every detail so heartfelt and all about you, that you’ll never forget it. I’ll hold your hands through the whole journey.
